Jeff Mason, CEO & Founder
As CEO, Director and Founder of TessPay, a blockchain- based company, Jeff brings years of expertise to helping the company develop its Transaction Escrow Settlement system for supply chain payments. In 1990, Jeff graduated with a BSc in Commerce and Economics from the University of Toronto. He next joined Ernst & Young LLP as a CPA and followed that as a business analyst at Canadian Tire. In 1995 Jeff founded Wiznet Inc., an Internet service provider where he served as CEO until the company’s sale in 2004. Jeff followed his previous success with the founding of Wiztel Inc., a VOIP telecommunications company that specialized in Wholesale Telecom cross-border voice calls. The company remained in operation until July 2017 when TessPay was founded. In 2012, Jeff co-founded Limitless Mobile, a US/UK mobile virtual network operator. He served as CEO before divesting himself of his interest in the company to found Powercases Inc., in 2014. The company, where he remains a shareholder and Chairman, is a developer, marketer and seller of consumer and business portable power products based on Lithium ion technology.
Fraser Mason, Chairman & CFO

Fraser is a founding investor, Chairman and CFO of TessPay, a blockchain-based company that is developing a Transaction Escrow Settlement System for supply chain payments. Currently, the company’s main focus is the global Wholesale Telecom industry.

Prior to Fraser’s role in TessPay, he began his storied business career as a senior partner at Ernst & Young Canada. Beginning in 1964, his many responsibilities included development and management of the Canadian corporate finance practice, management of the Canadian consulting practice and membership on the Canadian Executive Committee with a key role in the strategic growth of the firm until 2000.

As Chairman and CFO in the development and management of Champion Digital Links (formerly Champion Photochemistry), Fraser’s contributions since 1981 have included a series of cross border acquisitions that lead to a global business with operations in the United States, France and Malaysia. He also created a financing strategy for the business based on banking and credit insurance relationships developed in Spain.

Since 2014, Fraser has been a member of the advisory board for Newcom Media, a North American B2B publisher and industrial tradeshow company that focuses on trucking. Fraser recently facilitated a major acquisition for Newcom Media.

Fraser’s many qualifications include business strategy, corporate governance, financing, acquisition, deal negotiation, and global business management.

Technology Infrastructure

David Slater, Senior IT Manager

David brings over 20 years experience in the logistics and telecommunications industries, focusing on IT operations management to the TessPay team.

As part of his many accomplishments, David founded a telecommunications company offering international callback services, which became part of Cyberlink Inc’s International Callback division. As VP Operations, David managed the growth and development of the prepaid and wholesale operations of Universal Communications Network (UCN) including overseeing the audit and due diligence process during UCN’s acquisition.

He was a founder and Operations Director at Transport Management Solutions, a logistics and software systems company specializing in CDR collection, reporting and billing systems for IP telephony service providers and export documentation and control systems for logistics operations.

David’s background in billing and logistics systems design and operations means he’s called on to consult for companies in the transport and telecommunications industries. Most recently, he managed a private cloud infrastructure roll out and a cloud based retail IP telephony implementation.

Edward Chase, PMO Manager

Edward provides program management office leadership to the TessPay team. Specializing in “Technical Implementations”, he has successfully delivered systems and software for over 20 years.

His professional training enables him to utilize “Best of Breed” methodologies in project management to: initiate, plan, execute, control, and close business goals brining products to life.

Edward’s career has brought him to businesses located around the globe, including the United States, Caribbean, Europe, Great Britain and Africa where he applied his winning strategies and business knowhow as a Business Management Consultant in innovative technology.

Edward has worked successfully in sectors including education, healthcare, retail, government, banking and telecommunications.

Edward attended Northeastern University where he studied Information Technology, completed management course work at Harvard Business School, and is a member of the Project Management Institute among others.

His skillset combined with his experience in many technology endeavors will be invaluable to the TessPay business model.

Huw Webber, Business Analyst

Huw brings many years of detailed experience and knowhow in System and Business Analysis and Technology to the TessPay team.

At Oxford University Huw read Philosophy, Politics and Economics (MA, Oxon), and subsequently added value to a variety of technology and telecommunication firms.

In 2005, Huw was Director of EchoStar (now DISH), where he oversaw a thirty-member team of professionals and played a key role in restructuring governance, optional procurements, security and audit compliance. He developed strategic and operational plans for CIO among his many achievements while with the company.

In 2007, he became Managing Consultant at Capgemini where he directed all critiquing efforts of operational and development groups as well as coaching over forty VPs and directors of a major client.

In 2011, he became Managing Partner for Oxford Logical Consulting where he currently develops and maintains trusted relationships with top-tier clients, oversees, trains and VPs and directors and conducts a variety of critical analyses that continually improve business KPIs.

Huw will play a key role in ensuring TessPay provides trusted and secure settlement processing as part of the TessPay solution.

Marketing & Sales

Athan Terzakis, Global Sales Manager

Athan brings over 25 years experience as a derivatives expert in both banking and telecom to TessPay. His skills as an investment banker and financial engineer have brought success to Fintec projects for clients around the globe.

He’s spent years as a wholesale telecom operator with a strong interconnection network. As well, Athan has in-depth expertise in settlement efficiency based on underlying tools including blockchain and other Fintec models.

Athan has operated and worked in a variety of markets globally and is sure to be a great asset to ensuring the TessPay solution is a success to all clients.

Eddie Jamil, Business Development Director

Eddie brings almost 30 years of telecom and multi media industries experience to the TessPay team. During his tenure with British Telecom, he held a variety of senior positions around the globe that have given him a multidimensional view of the industry on a worldwide level. Currently, he is Managing Director of Universal Call Ltd, Urdu1 TV and Biz Connections Ltd.

Prior to his current role, Eddie lived and worked in Spain, the United States and the Asian/Pacific region where he specialized in outsourcing, holding positions from Directorship to CEO. Among his accomplishments at the board level he created new revenue stream, developed strategic partnerships and lead and developed a number of global teams.

Eddie has vast experience in business valuation, program management, channel management and is well-versed in telecoms, IT, financial services, media and broadcasting, plus retail and wholesale.

As a devoted philanthropist, Eddie is involved in a variety of charitable endeavors and sits on the boards of companies that help support local youth programs and more. He is even fluent in six languages.

Ryan Platt, Europe, Sales

Ryan brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in sales generation, customer satisfaction and general management to TessPay. His passion for his work while putting the needs of his customers first has lead to a series of successes that will be paramount in building the success of TessPay.

Combining team leadership with a deep understanding of how to motivate teams – even when deadlines are tight – inspire great work. Ryan is an expert in improving company culture and transparency while simultaneously growing revenue streams and finding opportunities to create new ones. These skills matched with his ability to make high-level decisions about company policy and strategy help fine tune business objectives and drive results.

Ryan has brought his skills to a variety of companies including a luxury drinks brand, where he found success in the role of managing director of the brand and helped control their extensive portfolio and investment strategy. Prior to this he was an Investment Bank and Hedge Fund mentored financial retail trader where he managed multiple trading assets and built thriving mid- to long-term diverse portfolios. As well, Ryan was the founder of an Oil Trading Company, and director and co-owner of a property Investment Company.

Neville Colaco, America, Sales

Prior to joining TessPay, Neville was VP of Strategic Partnerships at Localstars/Fluid, a London based mobile SaaS ad tech firm. Clients include top global media companies, mobile operators and agencies.

He has key skills that drive new incremental revenue and managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Neville is a proactive self-starter who works independently or as part of a team collaborating, strategizing, presenting and solidifying AI driven mobile data solutions. These combine to drive value for partners and TessPay.

Neville holds a BS degree in Business Administration, International Marketing from California Polytechnic University, Pomona and is currently enrolled at MIT Sloan Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy executive program.

Taylor Angus, America, Sales

Taylor brings over 20 years of sales, management and business development experience from the automotive industry to TessPay.

He spent six years as a consultant/trainer specializing in automotive software dealer management systems; as well as national training/sales manager for specializing in North American automotive CRM solutions.

Taylor spent a decade with Castrol Canada as their Business Development Manager and was intrinsic in helping develop the company’s brand with new car dealers in the Canadian marketplace. In 2016, he incorporated the sales agency, Drive Sales, Inc., which represents and helps bolster Canadian businesses with their sales and marketing strategies.

In 2017, Taylor became President and Managing Partner with Powercases Canada, a technology company that specializes in the development of innovative portable power solutions for both business and consumer customers.

Paul Sweetland, Europe Business Development

Paul brings decades of knowledge and experience in the Telecommunications and Technology sectors to the TessPay team.

Some of his many achievements include creating significant new business streams for Siemens in the global financial sector. He was Sales Director at Cibernet plc where he developed from concept financial settlement solutions for GSM Mobile Operators globally, into a $200 million business.

As well, he was Managing Director and one of the founders of Obsidian, providing Managed Services to large UK based organizations, which was acquired by Coms plc in 2012.

As Corporate Development Director he was responsible for six acquisitions at Coms plc and intrinsic in driving growth in the company from £1.6 million to £48 million, and a 1000% increase in the share price during 2013.

More recently Paul has a significant interest in Tecologica, and Universal FireX, with a view of building opportunities from a standing start into world class market leaders.

Jennifer Mason, Corporate Communications Manager

Tony Lesiak, Canaccord Genuity

Tony’s expertise and experience in capital markets around the globe is an invaluable asset to the future of TessPay.

Tony is Managing Director, Head of Canadian mining research and is responsible for coverage of the Canadian large capitalization precious metal equities. He has been researching the metals and mining sector with experience in both base and precious metals. Prior to re-joining Canaccord Genuity in September 2013, he was Managing Director and Senior Mining Analyst at Macquarie Capital Markets.

Tony was a Principal and Senior Mining Analyst at Genuity Capital Markets from 2007 to 2010 and previously held senior positions in mining equity research at UBS (Toronto) and HSBC (New York and Toronto). Tony earned a BSc in Geology and an MBA (Rotman) from the University of Toronto and holds an International MBA specializing in Economics from Johannes Kepler University in Austria.
